W. Laird Hamberlin, CEO of SCI

W. Laird Hamberlin has been a member of Safari Club International since 1987 and has held numerous positions in SCI at both the Chapter and national levels. Hamberlin has served on a number of committees within the organization, most recently on the Record Book Committee and the Publications Committee. 

As a senior business executive with a proven track record of growing sales and increasing EBITA in complex multi-level organizations, Hamberlin has the knowledge and ability needed to implement a forward leadership style for SCI.

Hamberlin is keenly aware of the attacks of the Anti-Hunters and the Animal Rights organizations that have SCI squarely in their sights. A more efficient and responsive SCI is necessary to continue the fight against those who would end all hunting and strip the world of its hunting heritage.

A Six Sigma Black Belt, Hamberlin previously served as SVP of PODS from 2017 to 2019. 

He was with ServiceMaster as VP Sales for American Home Shield; VP Sales and Commercial for Terminix from 2013 to 2017; and President, Building Automation and Access Controls at UTC from 2010 to 2013. 

Hamberlin knows the lay of the land, both inside SCI and around the world at large. He knows how best to focus the passion of the SCI members for the club and for hunting, thus garnering the best results for Safari Club International.

Also, Hamberlin has been President of Onity; President Southeast Asia/VP Global Accounts Asia for Tyco from 2006 to 2008 and VP Global Accounts ADT Worldwide for Tyco 2008 to 2010.

He holds a BBA in Marketing from Delta State University and was an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America

Hamberlin has been married for 32 years to the former Katie Giardini and they have three sons; Will 28, Hunter 25 and Walker 21. 

Laird is an avid hunter and golfer and is the 90th recipient of the WHA ring.
